Production Statistics And Vehicle Modifications By Chassis Number
Introduction
Over the years, Production totals and weekly output figures for Bonds have been quoted in various publications, motoring magazines and newspaper articles - sometimes VERY optimistically. If the figures given in some instances were to be believed, then there would still be thousands of Bonds being driven today!
To set the record straight once and for all, the following statistics were researched from several sources and, wherever practicable, they have also been cross-referenced to verify they are as accurate as possible. Most of the information came from the original Production Records which are in the custody of the Bond Owners' Club, but other sources used were: Glass's "Motorcycle Check Book," Pitman's "The Book of the Bond Minicar," copies of factory issued "Service Bulletins" and from internal memoranda sent within the company during the 1960's.
